This week, we’re glad to welcome a new SEO apprentice called Cleton Gomes starting at SEO Specialist. He has over two years experience in YouTube channel marketing and monetisation and is keen to learn more about search engine optimisation.

Mr Gomes will be working for SEO Specialist until August 2012, handling part of our link building, content writing and various YouTube video tasks.

Below is a few questions for Cleton, our new YouTube specialist:

How did you start with YouTube marketing?

“I started Hiitmaker of the Day when ps3 network servers got hacked in April 2011. There were rumour it would take 4 weeks to get it back so I saw a business opportunity and started a YouTube channel to support the gaming community”, says Cleton.

How do you earn money with YouTube?

Cleton replies: ”When HiitMaker of the Day reached 7000 subscribers, I was contacted by a YouTube partner network. Ever since then, I’ve uploaded a new video every day to keep the subscribers active and entertained”. YouTube pay their partners around £2 per 1000 views and Cleton already have over 8000 views a day (in average) and over 15 000 subscribers.

How do you choose which new videos to upload?

Every day people send me around 50 YouTube videos. From the past two years experience with this game, I’ve learnt what the community like, Cleton explains.

Do you want any tips for YouTube gaming marketing? Cleton first advice is to upload ‘Call of duty videos’, which is the biggest market out there right now.
